Course Summary
The course develops basic competence and skills in problem solving and quantitative methods applied to energy and public policy analyses within the African context. It emphasizes the art and skill of converting problem descriptions into quantitative models, and the analysis and interpretation of these models for policy formulation in the African context. Specific topics to be taught include: Introductory Statistics; Probability Concepts; Correlation and Regression Models; and Optimization Functions.
