Course Summary

The course provides students with an overview of the infrastructural development in the energy sector and its various components and activities. It also examines the long- and short-term contracts in the sector and the various facilities and measures put in place for its efficiency. Particular attention will be given to trade in oil, gas and power, as well as their economic values and implications. Specific topics include: Infrastructural Development in the Energy Sector; Power and Natural Gas Purchase and Sale Agreement; Crude Oil Sales and Lifting Agreements; LNG Project Development; LNG Project Sales and Transportation; LNG Project Terminal Issues; Bulk Procurement of Power; Social Responsibility Issues; and Contemporary Issues.
