It entails developing models to explain economic behaviour of consumers/households and producers/firms and how they interact in the market economy. Specific topics to be covered include: Consumer Theory; Producer Theory; Market Structure; Input Markets; General Equilibrium Analysis; Externalities; Public Goods and Asymmetric Information.
